Mrs. Pillai’s journey in education began in 1994, when she stepped into the classroom as a Science and Mathematics teacher at Sabari Vidyalaya, Vasna. Over the next 27 years, she distinguished herself not merely as a teacher, but as an institution-builder — heading the Mathematics Department, mentoring junior educators, supervising examinations, and playing a central role in curriculum planning and co-curricular development. Her classrooms were known for academic rigour balanced with genuine care for every student’s growth.
In 2021, she stepped into the role of Principal at Sabari Vidyalaya, Patod, where she successfully led a school community of over 800 students and 40+ staff members. Under her leadership, student performance in board examinations improved by 20%, a testament to her focus on structured learning and teacher accountability.
Her approach to school management is both strategic and people-first. She believes that a school thrives when its teachers are empowered — which is why she invested significantly in regular teacher training programmes, peer review sessions, and collaborative planning forums. The result has been a motivated, high-performing faculty and consistently strong student outcomes.

With a remarkable 35-year career devoted entirely to academic excellence and student empowerment, she stands as one of the most accomplished and respected educators in Vadodara’s educational landscape. Her journey is not just a career — it is a calling, lived out with sincerity, dedication, and wholehearted commitment every single day.

Mrs. Joseph’s teaching journey began in June 1989 at *MGM School, Baroda, where she laid the early foundations of her pedagogical philosophy. She subsequently served at **Mar Thoma Residential School, Thiruvalla* (1990–1992), gaining valuable exposure to residential schooling and diverse student communities.
In June 1992, she joined Basil School Baroda — and what followed was nothing short of an extraordinary three-decade-long chapter of service. For over 31 years, until October 2023, she served as a permanent teacher in the Higher Secondary Section, teaching *Statistics* — one of the most analytically demanding subjects in the curriculum — with consistent excellence and a student-first approach. The school’s own experience certificate recognizes her tenure as one marked by “dedication, sincerity, and wholehearted commitment,” calling her simply: “an excellent teacher.”

She was entrusted with *confidential work for the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB)* and served as a distinguished *member of the GSEB Textbook Evaluation Board.
